一笑軒

Agent Morris and Agent Carter were both standing in front of the big window watching Tony do his interrogation when McGee arrived. He let himself in silently and walked over to watch, ignoring忽視 the nervous神經緊張的 looks Morris and Carter shot towards each other at his presence出席.
當McGee到達審訊室時，Morris探員和Carter探員正在大窗戶前看著Tony的審訊。他讓自己安靜地進去並站在一旁觀看著，然後忽略掉他們兩個因為他的出席而緊張互看的眼神。

McGee suppressed鎮壓 a sigh when he saw Tony's suspect. The fingers on his right hand were neatly整潔地 taped up以帶子綁起, but he also had a big cut on the bridge of his nose and a bruise around his eye. McGee hoped that the man was actually guilty of something or they'd have one hell of a lawsuit on their hands. Not that Tony cared about that. He was too consumed著迷地 by his own desire for revenge to give a damn about embarrassing阻礙 the agency 每 or about damaging損害 his own career事業 come to that. McGee worked overtime sometimes just to make sure Tony's recklessness魯莽 didn't lose him his job 每 or worse, land使上岸 him in jail監獄.
當看見Tony的嫌犯時，McGee強壓下了一個嘆息。那個人的右手手指被繃帶整齊的綁起來，而鼻樑上有個大傷口，眼睛也瘀青了。McGee希望那個人在隨便哪件事情上是真的有罪，否則他們就等著被見鬼的律師抓走了。不過Tony可不關心這些，他太沉迷於自己想要的復仇了，他才不管那些是否會影響到NCIS或是他自己的事業。所以有時候McGee還得加班，就只是為了確認Tony的魯莽不會讓他丟了工作，又或者是更糟的，比如說入獄。

"I know you work for Jonssen and you know you work for Jonssen," Tony was saying to the man. "It'd make this go a lot easier if you just admitted it."
「我知道你為Jomssen工作，而你也知道你是為Jonssen工作。」Tony正對著那個男人說話。「只要你承認，事情就會容易得多。」

"Or what? You hold me down and slam a door on my hand again?" the man asked. "I want to see a lawyer."
「不然呢？你會再次撲倒我然後用門再次夾我的手？」那個男人問。「我要律師。」

"I've sent for one. Might take an hour or two for him to get here though." Tony gave a tight grin. "So that gives us plenty of time to chat閒談 before he arrives, Stackton."
「我會給你一個。他到達這裡大概需要一到二個小時。」Tony給了他一個嚴厲的瞪視。「在他到達之前，我們有足夠的時間來聊天，Stackton。」

"You have a legal department 每 you could get a lawyer in here within ten minutes," Stackton said.
「你們有個法律部門。你從那裡調個律師過來不用十分鐘。」Stackton說。

"I could, but let's face it, I'm not going to," Tony said. McGee groaned呻吟 and buried埋葬 his face in his hands. "Jonssen pays you a retainer訂金, doesn't he, Stackton?"
「沒錯我可以，但是面對現實吧，我不會那麼做。」Tony說。McGee呻吟了一聲，然後把臉埋進了自己的手裡。「Jonssen付了你訂金，對嗎，Stackton？」

Stackton glared at him. "I'm not saying anything until I get a lawyer."
Stackton瞪著他。「直到我有律師之前，我不會說任何事。」

"Where is he? Where is Jonssen? He too scared to come back to the US?" Tony asked. "If he didn＊t do anything wrong why is he so scared?"
「他在哪裡？Jonssen在哪裡？他害怕回美國？」Tony問：「如果他沒有做錯任何事，他為什麼要害怕？」

"Lawyer," Stackton replied, with a smug自以為是的 grin.
「律師。」Stackton咧開嘴露出了一個自大的笑容，並再次重複道。

"That why he has to pay you a retainer? Because he's too chicken to come back? So he needs you to do his dirty work for him over here?"
「他為什麼要付你訂金？因為他太弱雞不敢回來？所以他需要一個人在這裡幫他處理那些骯髒的工作？」

"Maybe he knows you'll pull拉 him in for questioning審問 the minute he sets foot on US soil國土," Stackton said.
「也許是因為他知道你會把他拉來審問個幾分鐘，所以才放了眼線在美國國土。」Stackton這麼說。

"If he's got nothing to hide then that shouldn't worry him," Tony replied.
「如果他沒什麼好隱藏的，那麼他何必害怕？」Tony回道。

"Says the man who just broke my fingers. Where's my lawyer?"
「這句話居然是出自剛弄斷我手指的人的口中。我的律師在哪裡？

"Where's Jonssen?"
「Jonssen在哪裡？」

Stackton just smirked傻笑. Tony smiled, and settled安頓 back in his chair. McGee stiffened變僵硬, waiting for it＃A second later Tony brought his hand down hard on the table.
Stackton開始裝傻笑著。接著，Tony也露出了個笑容，並坐回了自己的位子。McGee開始變得僵硬，他正在等著某事發生──幾秒後，Tony用力地捶上桌子。

"Tell me!" he roared咆哮.
「告訴我！」Tony吼道。

Carter and Morris both jumped, glancing at each other nervously, and then at McGee.
Carter和Morris都被嚇得跳了起來，然後又是緊張地看了彼此一眼，接著再看向McGee。

"He learned from the best," McGee told them, with an impatient不耐煩的 flick輕打 of his head.
「這是他從最好的那位學來的。」McGee焦躁地點點頭並告訴他們。

"Hey 每 put me in a room with the boss and I'll tell him anything he wants to know," Carter joked. He was a smart-mouthed, good-looking young agent, always joking around and utterly全然 and completely loyal to his temperamental喜怒無常的 boss. It was so achingly心痛 familiar熟悉的 that McGee found it painful to watch sometimes.
「嘿，如果把我跟Boss一起放在一個房間的話，我大概會告訴他任何他想知道的事情。」Carter開玩笑的說。
他是個善於察言觀色的年輕探員，並且總是用玩笑與完全的忠誠來面對他喜怒無常的Boss。
但有的時候，McGee發現自己卻會為了這些熟悉畫面而感到心痛。

"I don't know where he is!" Stackton said, looking genuinely誠實的 shaken動搖. "One of his overseas海外的 companies deals交易 with me 每 I never speak to Jonssen directly直接的. So what if I occasionally偶爾 do some work for him and he pays me for it? That's not illegal違法的!"
「我不知道他在哪！」Stackton動搖了，然後誠實的說：「他在海外的公司和我有交易，可我從來沒有直接跟他對話過。所以我要怎麼偶爾為他工作還收訂金？這不合理！」

Tony nodded, smiling again. "Thank you. And no it isn't illegal. It is criminal though 每 it's criminal that your scumbag卑鄙小人 boss is still out there when he should be behind bars."
Tony點點頭，然後又笑了。「謝謝你的配合。不過、不，這並不會不合理。這是你們這些罪犯的想法，你那個應該還在外面酒吧吧台前的卑鄙老闆就是個罪犯。」

"You've never managed管理 to make a single charge指控 against him stick刺死," Stackton said, with a vicious邪惡的 grin.
「你們從不能找出任何一項指控足以對抗他、判他死刑。」Stackton露出一個邪惡的笑容說。

"We nearly did," Tony said grimly.
「我們接近了。」Tony痛苦地說。

"Forensics辯論練習 didn't exactly pan out平平淡淡 though, did they?" Stackton said softly.
「像這樣辯論練習著實太無趣了點了，可不是嗎？」Stackton輕柔地說。

McGee winced. "Oh shit," he said, heading for the door. "Well come on!" he yelled at Carter and Morris. "We all know what's going to happen next!"
McGee畏縮了一下。「噢、狗屎。」他說完後急忙推開了門。「快跟上！」他對著Carter與Morris吼著：「我們都知道接下來會發生什麼事！」

They burst into the next door room just in time to find Stackton's chair overturned, and Stackton himself pressed壓 against the wall with Tony's hand wrapped纏繞 around his throat and Tony's fist拳頭 poised平衡的 to strike打擊.
當他們推開下一扇門時，Stackton的椅子已經轉了個圈躺在地上，而Tony正一手掐在他脖子上並將他壓在牆上，另一手已是握拳橫在半空中準備揍下去了。

"Agent DiNozzo! Agent Carter will take it from here," McGee said firmly.
「DiNozzo探員！Carter探員從現在起接手這裡。」McGee堅持地說。

Tony's eyes were blazing as he stood there, fist still held back in readiness準備就緒.
Tony的眼神中仍是燃燒著憤怒的火焰，他站在原地，握拳的手仍是不願意放下。

"The forensics didn't pan out because Jonssen killed our forensic scientist before she got a chance to prove her case," Tony hissed嘶嘶聲. Stackton grinned at him.
「這些辯證不能成功，是因為Jonssen在我們的鑑識科學家能夠有機會去保護她的案子時就殺了她。」Tony嘶聲道。
Stackton只是咧齒笑著。

"What 每 you only got one forensic scientist?" he asked. The hand Tony had wrapped around his throat tightened.
「你為什麼只記得那個鑑識科學家？」他問。
Tony收緊了自己掐在他脖子上的手。

"Oh I think you know that Jonssen killed Abby and set fire to her lab to destroy破壞 the evidence證據," he growled.
「哦、我想你應該知道就是Jonssen殺了Abby，還在她實驗室放火破壞了所有的證據！」他咆哮著說。

"Another thing you feds don't seem像是 able to prove," Stackton gasped喘氣. "Seems to be a long list 每 either Jonssen is innocent天真的人, or you guys are really bad at your jobs."
「從另一種說法來看，這更像是你們保護不了她。」Stackton喘著氣說：「你們在為自己找理由。如果Jonssen不是個太過天真的人，那就是你們真的很不在行。」

"Agent DiNozzo!" McGee said hastily慌張的, seeing Tony's eyes flash, and an old, familiar expression of angry despair絕望 settle決定 there. Stackton clearly knew all the right buttons to press.
「DiNozzo探員！」McGee慌張的叫住他，他看見Tony的眼中閃過一種熟悉的、古老的憤怒，絕望的決定了些什麼。
Stackton真的很知道要怎麼緊扣著那些正確的弱點。

Tony stood there for a moment, fist still poised, Stackton grinning at him triumphantly耀武揚威的, and it could have gone either way.
Tony仍舊站在原地了好幾分鐘，他的拳頭一直是舉著的；而Stackton就這麼用耀武揚威的笑容看著他，他知道自己可以讓那笑容用某種方法消失。

"Tony," McGee said softly. "Let him go. Carter will take it from here."
「Tony，」McGee安撫地說：「讓他離開。Carter會接手這裡。」

Slowly, the anger drained耗盡 out of Tony, and he lowered his fist and released釋放 his hold on the prisoner. Stackton sank沉沒 back against the wall, panting氣喘吁吁 but still grinning widely廣泛地. Tony turned on his heel and left without another word.
慢慢地，Tony眼中的憤怒慢慢退去，他垂下了自己握拳的手，並鬆開了掐在他脖子上的手。Stackton靠著牆站著，儘管氣喘吁吁，卻仍是咧齒笑著看向他。
Tony轉了個身，沒有說一句話就離開了。

"He's insane愚蠢的," Stackton said to McGee, rubbing摩擦 his bruised neck脖子. "He could have killed me!"
「他真愚蠢。」Stackton邊對著McGee說，邊用手摩擦著自己的脖子。「他可以乾脆就這樣殺了我！」

"Yes, he could." McGee nodded. Then he moved close. "And if you don't co-operate fully充分地 with Agent Carter then next time I might just let him," he said in a low, deadly tone. Stackton's eyes widened. "He's all yours, Carter," McGee said tersely, and then he left to go after Tony.
「沒錯，他可以。」McGee點頭。接著，他靠近了他。「而如果你現在不配合Carter探員的話，下一次，我就會讓他這麼做的。」他用一種低沉且緩慢的聲音說。
Stackton張大了眼睛。
「他是你的了，Carter。」McGee簡潔地說完，然後跟在Tony的後面也離開了。
